Sport BSO Boshuizerkade

Welcome to Sport-BSO Boshuizerkade, an energetic after-school care location run by Partou at Boshuizerkade 62H in Leiden. Our site sits right next to the sports fields of football club FC Boshuizen, giving us daily access to large grass pitches, a clubhouse and changing rooms. We offer 44 places for children aged 4 to 12 who want to keep active after school. Our pedagogical staff and sports coaches use sport and play to help children develop perseverance, teamwork and the joy of success. After school we pick up children from primary schools De Ley and Leimundo. Back at the BSO we share bread and fruit, then dive into the day’s activities. Depending on the weather we head outside for football, hockey, climbing and scrambling, or stay indoors to craft, play and explore in our spacious group rooms. All materials are stored at child height so children can choose what they want to use. We work with horizontal age groups and devote extra attention at the start of each school year to settling in: new classes, new friends and sometimes a new group at the BSO. Parents receive a monthly newsletter and can use the Partou parent app to swap days, request extra care or contact the team directly. Our location is open Monday to Friday 15:00-18:30; during school holidays and study days 7:30-18:30. An active parent committee helps shape policy and activities.
