Sport BSO Amsterdam – known as “De Lieverdjes” – is the most fun out-of-school care location in Amsterdam for children aged 4 to 12. Five days a week we head outside to run, play and move, and afterwards we cool down inside our cosy clubhouse at Willinklaan 4 in Nieuw-West. Set in the middle of Amsterdam’s sports centre on the grounds of korfball club Rohda, we benefit from fresh air, wide open space and a large sports field every single day. Our approach is relaxed: there is no rigid timetable and no obligation to join in. Children decide for themselves whether they want to take part in sporty games, free play, arts & crafts in the creative corner, or simply relax with books and dress-up clothes. By moving a lot they discover different sports in a playful way – without even realising they are “training”. Afterwards they can unwind in the warm, homely clubhouse that offers craft tables, a chill-out zone and a kitchen corner for healthy snacks and drinks. We pick up children daily from nine primary schools in the area, so parents never have to worry about drop-off or collection. All our qualified sport staff hold a first-aid certificate and Certificate of Good Conduct, guaranteeing a safe, positive atmosphere where every child quickly feels at home. Since the 2021/2022 school year we are also open on Wednesdays, giving even more children the chance to join. In short, Sport BSO Amsterdam is all about relaxation through exercise, love and attention, and the freedom to be yourself.
