Spoenk

BSO Spoenk is part of Kind & Co ludens and is located in the clubhouse of football club Sporting ’70 at Voorveldselaan 4 in Utrecht-Noordoost. Our site is a true sports BSO: children have access to the football pitches, korfball field and canteen of the club, giving them plenty of space to run, play football and be active. We organise children into age-based groups for 7- to 12-year-olds. Younger children (4-8 years) start at our sister location BSO Bolderburen; once they turn 8 they move on to Spoenk. The horizontal grouping ensures that activities match the children’s developmental stage. Our activity programme is designed together with the children and is varied and challenging. The focus is on sport and action, but there is also room for creative projects. We regularly bake cookies in the kitchen, create beautiful crafts and put on theatre performances in the canteen. We also make occasional trips to a nearby playground or park. Pedagogically we follow the Pedagogisch Hart of Kind & Co ludens. This means we give children the space to feel good, grow and discover. We provide a rich, inspiring environment in which every child can be themselves. Together we form a mini-society in which we care for each other and the world around us. In short, at BSO Spoenk children aged 7 to 12 enjoy an active, challenging and fun after-school experience.
