Spelerij Maatjes

Welcome to Spelerij Maatjes, the small-scale after-school care centre at Lekdijk Oost 12 in Wijk bij Duurstede. We provide before-school, after-school and holiday care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 12. In a homely, personal atmosphere we work entirely on a bespoke basis: parents can book one or more flexible days per week or per month, exactly as the family needs. Our close-knit team of pedagogical staff organise a varied programme every afternoon. Sports and games are central: we run sports and movement activities, creative crafts in our art corner, and make full use of our own outdoor space where children can romp and explore. We also cooperate with local foundation Stichting Binding to foster social involvement. Flexibility and tailor-made care are our strengths. If something cannot be arranged within our standard options, we work together with parents to find a suitable solution for their son or daughter. Our financial management focuses primarily on covering costs and ensuring continuity; any surplus is reinvested directly in materials and activities for the children. Parents and children are always welcome for a personal introduction, further explanation of our approach, or a tour of the premises!
