Eigen&Wijzer BSO 't Kinderwoud

Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer BSO ’t Kinderwoud, our welcoming after-school care centre located at Rode Kruislaan 1260 in Diemen. We provide care for up to 53 children aged 4 to 13, both after school and during school holidays and study days. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome the children every weekday between 7.30 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.; extended care from 7.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. is available on request. Each child is assigned a personal mentor who is the fixed point of contact for both child and parents. We work with themes that match the children’s world of experience and offer a varied programme of activities every day. Inside, children can read in our cosy library corner, build with Lego in the construction room, get creative in the arts space or burn off energy in the sports and dance hall. After a long day at school, the large outdoor area is a favourite: a football pitch, nature playground and plenty of space to cycle, run and explore. During holiday BSO we organise an exciting programme packed with sports, games and creative workshops. We pick the children up from various primary schools in Diemen with our distinctive Eigen&Wijzer bus, allowing parents to work without worry. Sharing a snack is an important moment: at about 4.15 p.m. the fixed base group sits down together for a cracker and a drink. These calm eating moments are used to practise social skills and encourage healthy eating habits. Our vision is simple: every child is unique and free to be themselves. We provide a safe, familiar environment where children can relax, play and discover at their own pace. Together we make every day a great day!
