Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer Daycare De Zuiderzon, located at Anjerlaan 3 in the heart of De Kwakel. We provide small-scale, development-focused daycare for children aged 0 to 4. In our safe and loving environment, every child is given the space to discover, play and grow at their own pace. Our groups are arranged in a clear and cozy way with sustainable play materials that match the world of experience of young children. The play corners are carefully composed so that every child has something to discover. The groups are separated from each other by glass sliding doors, which offers flexibility and makes it possible to let children play together occasionally. In this way they learn from each other and develop social skills in a natural way. Outside we have a spacious, naturally landscaped garden where children can run, build sandcastles, slide and discover insects in the bushes. Exercise is important to us: we encourage children to be active and to be challenged in their motor development. In bad weather we use the gym of the adjacent primary school, so there is always room for movement. Our pedagogical staff work according to the vision that every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. We offer child-centered work, where we put the needs and interests of the child first. We provide pre-school education (VVE), with which we prepare children for primary school in a playful way. Language, social skills and independence are covered in a playful way. We believe it is important that children feel safe and secure. That is why we work with familiar faces, a clear daily structure and lots of personal attention. Parents are actively involved in their child's development. We regularly discuss how things are going and adjust our approach to what the child needs.
