Eigen&Wijzer KDV De Boomhut

Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer KDV De Boomhut in Uithoorn! We provide small-scale daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our centre is located at Karel van Manderhof 3, in a modern residential complex with a lovely outdoor area. All group rooms open onto a central hall; doors are always open so children can move freely and choose where they want to play. At De Boomhut we work with developmental groups. This means we look at your child’s development to decide when the next group is appropriate. Our pedagogical staff then plan settling-in sessions together with you, ensuring a smooth and safe transition. The baby group has a specially designed corner for the youngest children. Older children enjoy various play corners, such as a home corner and a car corner. The activities we offer are theme-based and tailored to the child’s world of experience. Free play and self-discovery are central, both indoors and in our garden with sandbox, play equipment and grass field. Our day-care centre is situated directly beneath apartments for senior citizens. This literally connects young and old, allowing us to organise joint activities in the large indoor space. We believe every child should feel safe and challenged to grow. Therefore, we give children room to explore and push their boundaries, while our pedagogical professionals provide tips and advice but mainly let the child experience things themselves. This builds their self-confidence and self-reliance. Eigen&Wijzer stands for child-centred working, nature experience and development-oriented activities.
