Speel-en Werkhoeve

BSO Speel-en Werkhoeve is located right inside primary school De Speel-en Werkhoeve at Leeuwerik 1 in the Broekvelden district of Bodegraven. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Children have access to the school’s gym and a spacious hall featuring a doll corner, construction corner and chill-out zone. After school they can play freely or join the daily activity programme. We organise creative crafts, sports and dance activities, reading sessions and fun games. Throughout the year we work with themes; during holidays we link extra activities or outings to these themes. Children who wish can use a quiet spot to do homework, always in consultation with parents. Outside, children can enjoy the large playground with play equipment, a sandpit and football goals. We work closely with the school: whenever possible we align themes and consult with teachers so that the care seamlessly connects with the children’s school day. Our Pedagogical Heart is built on four core values. We believe every child should feel safe and welcome, because only then can development be enjoyable. We give children trust and space to explore and be curious. For us, play equals discovery and learning; therefore we provide an inspiring and challenging environment. Finally, we see our care setting as a mini-society in which we care for each other and for the world around us. During school weeks our before-school care (VSO) is open from 07:30 to 08:30, Monday to Friday. In school holidays we join forces with BSO De Springplank and are open from 07:30 to 18:30. Children from De Speel-en Werkhoeve primary school are welcome; registration is handled by Kind & Co Ludens.
