SKSG Waterviolier

Welcome to SKSG Waterviolier, our small-scale daycare centre in the heart of Meerstad. We provide childcare for babies and toddlers aged 0-4 in a warm and safe environment. Our centre is located at Waterviolier 1 in the temporary Meerstad Health Centre, where we will soon house three home groups: Zwanenbloem, Eendenkroos and Kikkerbeet. Each group accommodates up to 16 children, giving us a total of 48 places. We work with vertical groups, where children aged 0-4 play and learn together. This stimulates social development and creates a homely atmosphere in which the youngest children learn from the older ones, and the older children learn to interact with the youngest. Each home group has its own fixed space of about 58-59 m², furnished according to the age and needs of the children. For the very youngest, we have separate sleeping rooms with bunk beds, so they can sleep peacefully when needed. Our outdoor play area of 200 m² is located right next to the building and is safely enclosed. Here children can play freely, move around and discover nature. We believe it is important that children can develop both indoors and outdoors, adapting the space and materials to their curiosity and developmental stage. SKSG Waterviolier is a new location of Stichting Kinderopvang Stad Groningen (SKSG). We are officially registered and meet all quality requirements of the Childcare Act. Our pedagogical staff are professionally trained and ready to give your child a safe and stimulating day, with development, fun and security at its heart.
