SKSG Symfonie

Welcome to SKSG Symfonie, our after-school care (BSO) in Helpman! We are located in the brand-new extension of Joseph Haydn primary school at Helper Brink 50, Groningen. With a large green garden and room for up to 100 children, there is always space to play, do sports or simply relax. After school our qualified staff pick up children from grade 3-8 at Joseph Haydnschool and walk them to the BSO rooms inside the same building. Children from nearby schools are also welcome; we align our opening hours with all local school timetables, study days and holidays. At SKSG Symfonie we focus on sport, movement and nature. We organise outdoor activities such as live Stratego, nature bingo or an obstacle course. In addition we run themed programmes around cooking, culture, technology and nature. One afternoon the children might be gardening, the next they are cooking or working on a creative craft – they decide whether to join in or chill out in the reading corner. Our bright, spacious rooms open directly onto the school playground. Inside you will find a lounge area with sofas and cushions, a construction corner, arts-and-crafts tables and a kitchen unit for cooking activities. Outside we have a large lawn, climbing frames, a sports field and a vegetable garden. Safety and familiarity are key: every staff member knows every child and we work with a fixed team.
