SKSG Ster

Welcome to SKSG Ster, our cosy junior group in the heart of Groningen. We are located in a beautiful, green spot on the edge of Stadspark, inside the building of Public Dalton School De Starter at Verzetsstrijderslaan 2a. Together with the school we form an Integral Child Centre (IKC), giving your child a continuous development line from childcare to kindergarten. We care for children aged 2 to 6 in a group with a maximum of 16 places. Thanks to our small scale, our pedagogical staff can give every toddler and preschooler the personal attention that is so important. Every day we go outside; our own nature garden, the petting zoo and the city playground are within walking distance. Rain or shine, outdoor play makes children happy and supports their development. For the development of language, numeracy and social skills we use the Early Childhood Education programme Startblokken. Themes such as ‘the supermarket’ or ‘the doctor’ connect to the children’s world and make learning playful. The partnership with De Starter also ensures a smooth transition to the kindergarten class. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 29 August 2016 under number 115859135, so you can apply for childcare allowance.
