SKSG Ranonkel

Welcome to BSO Ranonkel, part of SKSG, located at Zuiderweg 70-8 in Hoogkerk, Groningen. Since September 1, 2011, we have been providing after-school care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 12 years. With a rating of 8.1, we are among the Top 10 BSOs of SKSG! At BSO Ranonkel, fun and coziness are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that after an intensive school day, children need rest, relaxation, and space to play with peers. At the same time, we offer a wide range of challenging activities that allow children to discover their talents and interests. Our activities are built around six pillars: Sports & Movement, Cooking & Nutrition, Nature & Sustainability, Fair & Happy, Science & Technology, and Art & Culture. We work with the theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI), based on the understanding that every child has different talents and intelligences. Children have significant input in activity planning, as learning to make choices is an important part of their development. Additionally, we use the TOP program, where children explore the world under expert guidance with plenty of freedom and independence. Our location features a fantastic, large green garden where children can play and romp to their hearts' content. We go outside every day, ensuring children get plenty of exercise and fresh air. We pick up children from OBS de Ploeg, Anne Frank School, GBS Rehoboth, and various special education schools in Hoogkerk. Parents appreciate our familiar, homely atmosphere and the personal attention their children receive. BSO Ranonkel uses the SKSG app, allowing parents to easily swap days or request additional care. We strive to be a second home for the children, where they feel safe and happy.
