SKSG Pinokkio

Welcome to SKSG Pinokkio, our daycare center in the heart of Zuidhorn. We are located in a beautiful building specially constructed in the late 1990s for childcare and preschool. Our location is next to the train station, easily accessible by public transport with ample parking available. At SKSG Pinokkio, we strive to make children feel safe and secure while still being challenged. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in different horizontal age groups. For our youngest ones, we have three baby groups: Blue Fairy, Pompidou and Cleo, with a maximum of 12 children per group. For toddlers, we have Japie Krekel, Figaro and Gepetto, accommodating 14 to 16 children per group. Our pedagogical staff work according to the VVE program Pyramid. This program follows four fixed steps: Orienting, Demonstrating, Broadening and Deepening. In this way, we stimulate development in all areas - from social-emotional and motor skills to artistic development. We believe in healthy, active and sustainable childcare where every child gets the chance to develop themselves. All group rooms have their own door to our beautiful garden where children can play and discover. We work with 'Tasty Vegetable Gardens Toddler-proof', where children learn to grow vegetables under supervision in our large vegetable garden box. The gardens are designed to be both safe and challenging for children of different ages. By opening gates, children from different groups can also play together. We maintain a fixed daily structure that provides children with peace and regularity. Around 9:30 AM we have fruit or crackers with drinks, followed by development-focused activities and free play. Around 11:30 AM we have lunch with bread and milk, after which most children take a nap. Children who stay awake have time for activities and play. Around 3:00-3:30 PM there is a second eating moment followed by more activities and play time. SKSG Pinokkio has been officially registered since November 22, 2010 in the National Childcare Register under number 186884588. We meet all national quality requirements and parents can apply for childcare allowance for our services.
