SKSG JOP Oosterpark

SKSG JOP Oosterpark is the after-school care centre for children aged 6 to 8, located right in the middle of the green Oosterpark area. We are based in the welcoming JOP building at Klaprooslaan 304a and open every weekday from school-out time until 6 p.m. Our qualified staff pick the children up at 2 p.m. from nearby IKC Borgman Oosterpark and escort them safely to our bright, spacious rooms. Children decide for themselves how they want to spend the afternoon: creative arts and crafts corners, sports and games in the large garden with climbing frames and a basketball court, or quietly reading in the cosy book corner. We spend a lot of time outdoors and regularly organise trips to the petting farm, barefoot path or cinema. During school holidays and study days we offer extra activities and open from 7.30 a.m. until 6 p.m., giving parents maximum flexibility. Healthy food is a priority: we share lunch together around noon and provide a healthy snack and drinks later in the afternoon. Birthdays are celebrated with singing, a poster or button, and a treat provided by us—no need to bring anything from home. We work closely with IKC Borgman Oosterpark and BSO Barabas, ensuring a smooth transition for children once they turn eight. Our parent committee actively contributes to policy and maintains direct contact with parents and carers. In short, SKSG JOP Oosterpark offers a safe, stimulating place where 6- to 8-year-olds can play, explore and relax after school under professional guidance.
