SKSG IKC Borgman Oosterpark

Welcome to SKSG IKC Borgman Oosterpark, our daycare center located in the heart of the green Oosterpark neighborhood in Groningen. We are part of the brand-new Integral Child Center (IKC) Borgman Oosterpark, where childcare and education seamlessly blend together. For children aged 0 to 4 years, we provide a warm, home-like environment where they can safely and confidently develop. Our baby groups follow the principles of Emmi Pikler: developing at your own pace, free movement, free play, and respectful care are central. Each child has a dedicated mentor and is part of a core group that serves as a safe home base. The Uilen (0-2 years) is our baby group where a maximum of 12 children are cared for daily. The spaces are carefully designed with natural materials and calming colors, making the youngest ones feel at home immediately. For toddlers and preschoolers, we have the Ooievaars (2-4 years), where we work on development through play. We feature our own baby garden, a cozy cooking studio, and a creative atelier. Daily, we bake fresh bread and prepare healthy soups or warm meals. In our kitchen, we regularly cook with the children, focusing on healthy nutrition and food safety. Outdoor learning and play are just as important as indoor activities. Thanks to our unique location next to the park, we can use the natural play environment daily. We have our own outdoor sleeping area where children can sleep wonderfully in the fresh air. Our childcare staff are specially trained to ensure outdoor sleeping is safe and peaceful. We operate with a horizontal group system, where children gather in age groups. This provides calm and familiarity while still allowing room for individual development. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with extended care available from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
