SKSG Ebbinge

We are SKSG Ebbinge, the after-school care (BSO) at the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Borgman Ebbinge located at Langestraat 10 in the heart of Groningen. Our IKC is a place where education and childcare seamlessly come together under one roof. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, aligned with the school hours of IKC Borgman Ebbinge. Our BSO works thematically and connects to the school curriculum. Together with the teachers, we choose a joint theme that fits within our five pillars: Food & Cooking, Art & Culture, Sports & Movement, Science & Technology and Nature & Sustainability. Children might go on excursions to Noorderplantsoen, conduct technology experiments, cook healthy meals or create art from found materials. We work with fixed core groups per age category: 4-7/8 years (groups Vuursteen, Zandsteen and Kiezelsteen) and 7/8-12 years (groups Watersteen and Lavasteen). Children start and end their day in their core group, but can then use our four development squares. These spaces are age-appropriate: from a doll corner for the youngest to challenging technology corners for upper grades. Our outdoor play area consists of a blue and green square where children can romp, play sports and discover. We encourage risky play and work child-centered, allowing each child to develop at their own pace. SKSG's pedagogical staff work closely with IKC Borgman Ebbinge teachers, creating one shared vision for your child's development. Our opening hours align with school times, study days and holidays.
