SKSG Ebbinge

Welcome to SKSG Ebbinge, our daycare center located in the heart of Groningen at Boterdiep 7-3. We are part of the Integrated Child Center (IKC) Borgman Ebbinge, where childcare, education and after-school care seamlessly come together. For children aged 0 to 4 years, we provide a safe, familiar environment where every child can develop at their own pace. Our daycare works with horizontal groups: Sunstone (0-2 years, max 12 children), Gemstone (1-4 years, max 16 children) and Natural Stone (2-4 years, max 16 children). Each group has its own protected outdoor garden where children can play and discover. We maintain a fixed daily structure that provides peace and regularity, while remaining flexible to each child's individual needs. For babies up to about 1 year, we adapt as much as possible to their home rhythm. We work with the VVE program Startblokken, specially developed for toddler groups. This program stimulates language and cognitive development and playfully prepares children for primary school. Our certified childcare professionals work closely with the IKC teachers, ensuring a smooth transition to elementary school. Our activity program is extensive and varied. We utilize our immediate surroundings, such as Noorderplantsoen park, and the many art and cultural opportunities around our IKC. Children have space to experiment with creative materials, build, sing and move. We support 'risky play' where children can safely explore their boundaries. Sustainability is high on our agenda; we teach children from an early age to be environmentally conscious. For the youngest ones, we take care of everything: from diapers and bottle feeding to peaceful naps in our quiet sleeping areas. We work with fixed coaches who get to know your child well. For mothers who breastfeed, there is always space and time to come feed the baby. You can also bring expressed milk in a bottle. At SKSG Ebbinge, your child is central. We look at each child's talents and create a personalized development plan together with parents. Our location is open every weekday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
