SKSG Decibel

Welcome to SKSG Decibel, our active after-school care facility in the Oosterpoort district. We are located in a playground building at Meeuwerderweg 159 and provide care for up to 48 children aged 8 to 12 years. Our location is a branch of IKC Borgman Oosterpoort and forms an Integral Child Center together with Borgman school and SKSG Roezemoes. Our challenging outdoor space features a large playground, football field and tennis court, where children can enjoy sports and games to the fullest. Inside, we have a multifunctional space with a theater hall including a stage, a relaxation room, a computer room and a spacious kitchen where we can cook together. We work with two base groups: the Large Hall and the Small Hall, accommodating a maximum of 24 children per group. We believe that challenge and excitement are important for children's development, provided they remain within the boundaries of safety and trust. We invite children to explore, so they learn to trust themselves and can further develop. Our offerings align with the theory of Multiple Intelligences, where talents are divided into different intelligences. The activities are largely designed in consultation with the children and are listed on our activity calendar. We pick up children from IKC Borgman Oosterpoort on Warmoesstraat and from SBO Bekenkampschool. During holidays, we organize extra activities such as trips to the petting zoo, cinema or barefoot path. We collaborate with neighborhood center Poortershoes, Playground Association Oosterpoort and the WIJ team in the area. Parents can see which mentor their child has through the SKSG app and make use of our care on school-free days and during school holidays.
