SKSG de Wingerd NSO+

Welcome to SKSG de Wingerd NSO+, a unique after-school care-plus (NSO+) located right inside De Wingerd school at De Verbetering 5 in Groningen. We provide care for children aged 4 to 14 who attend special education at cluster 3 schools. Together with our partner Cosis, we create a safe, familiar and inclusive environment where every child can be themselves and develop at their own pace. Our single home-base group “The Rainbow” welcomes up to 12 children and is guided by a dedicated SKSG pedagogical worker and a Cosis professional at all times. This collaboration guarantees small-scale, personal and expert support tailored to each child’s individual needs. We work from a clearly defined development perspective and embrace the motto: “Always authentic, always persistent, always challenging.” Our cosy after-school room feels like home and includes a kitchen where children can cook together. The spacious, inviting outdoor garden invites play, discovery and movement. A predictable daily rhythm alternates active and quiet moments. Fruit and drinks are available throughout the afternoon; during holidays and study days we also provide lunch and extra snacks. We respect medical dietary advice and encourage healthy treats. SKSG de Wingerd NSO+ is open on school days from 14:00 to 18:00 (from 12:45 on Wednesdays). During school holidays and study days we offer care from 08:15 to 18:00; if numbers are low we combine with the NSO+ location at Van Liefland.
