SKSG Bubbel De Regenboog

Welcome to SKSG Bubbel De Regenboog, our welcoming out-of-school care centre located at Het Oelbred 4 in Tolbert. We provide care for up to 24 children aged 4 to 12, divided into the ‘Duikboot’ group (4–12 years) and the ‘Het Anker’ group (7–12 years). Our site is part of a child-centre campus shared with CBS De Regenboog, ensuring a seamless transition from school to after-school care. Our vision is clear: every child should feel safe and welcome so they can develop playfully at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff actively observe and listen to each child’s needs, tuning in to the child’s perspective and world. We give space and attention so children can discover and shape their own identity. Our activity programme is varied and built around five pillars: Sport & Movement, Cooking & Nutrition, Nature & Sustainability, Science & Technology, and Art & Culture. Children help tend our large vegetable garden together with OBS De Beelen, and the harvested produce is used in freshly prepared meals. We also escort children to their sports clubs when needed, and from age 7 they can join sports BSO sessions at the Rodenburghal. Our green garden is laid out as a natural discovery zone with no plastic play equipment—only wooden beams to balance on, willow tunnels to hide in, and other natural elements that spark imagination. On school-free days we run cross-site programmes to offer an even wider range of activities. Every child has a dedicated mentor who is the main contact for parents and who follows the child’s development closely.
