SKSG Break Out

SKSG Break Out is the ultimate outdoor after-school care for children aged 7 to 13, located at Break Out Grunopark on Hoofdweg 163 in Harkstede. Surrounded by greenery, water and open space, we offer a unique nature experience. Our group home features a cosy common room, play area and a professional kitchen where children can do their own cooking. Outside there is a large enclosed field for football and picnics. We collect children by bicycle from Meeroevers and OBS de Driebond schools. Our pedagogical staff ensure a safe ride with reflective vests and clear traffic instructions. On arrival the children enjoy a snack and drink, then choose where, with whom and with what they want to play. Almost every day we offer indoor and outdoor activities that children can join freely. Thanks to our partnership with Grunopark we can provide exclusive outdoor activities: archery, waterskiing, climbing and even paintball. These activities always take place under the supervision of our pedagogical staff plus a Grunopark instructor. Each child has a fixed mentor, a familiar face for questions or just a chat. We work with two table groups: Waaghalzen and Lefmakers. On quiet days one group is open, on busy days both. Children decide for themselves which table to sit at, promoting their sense of autonomy. During holidays and inset days we regularly organise extra trips such as to Kardinge hill, the swimming pool or the cinema. Our BSO is open during school weeks immediately after school. In holidays we welcome children from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Fridays in the summer holiday we are closed; care is then provided at our sister location Krullevaar BSO.
