SKSG Boegbeeld

Welcome to SKSG Boegbeeld, our unique farm-based after-school care located in the meadows of Groningen. We are situated at Koerspad 3, on the edge of the city, surrounded by nature and animals. Together with Stichting de Zijlen we share the grounds with a goat farm and tea house. For children aged 4 to 12 we provide after-school care focused on nature experience, movement and discovery. Every day we explore the outdoors. We play in the meadow, visit the farm animals and learn how nature works. Our qualified staff guide small groups so each child has space to develop safely and freely. We work with familiar faces: each child is assigned no more than three regular staff members and at least one of them is present for most of the day. Our activities are varied and tailored to the age and interests of the children. We sing with guitar, craft with natural materials and organise sports and games. Birthdays are celebrated together: we sing for the birthday child and offer healthy treats. A few times a year we host a big Boegbeeld party where parents and children from both after-school care and daycare are warmly welcome. We follow a clear daily routine that offers rest and regularity. During holidays and school-free days we start at 7.30 am and close at 6.00 pm. We work with primary schools in the Lewenborg district and pick up children as soon as school ends. Our location is open all year round, except for national holidays and a few closure days around New Year. Parents and children experience a warm, professional atmosphere with us. We value open communication: daily there is time for a brief handover and at least once a year we discuss your child’s development in detail.
