SKSG Battello

SKSG Battello is located in the Vensterschool on Veenweg in the Corpus den Hoorn district of Groningen. The building resembles a boat – hence the name Battello, which means 'boat' in Italian. We provide daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, home-like environment that’s just a little different from home. In our baby group (0-2 years), specialized staff prepare fresh vegetable snacks daily from seasonal produce. The bright rooms are calmly furnished with natural materials so your baby feels at ease and can explore at their own pace. Diapers and bottle feeding are included. From age 2, your child joins the toddler group. We offer a safe play and learning environment with different corners such as a reading corner, construction corner and kitchen corner. We use recognizable themes and offer the Nijntje movement diploma: toddler/kindergarten gym to music to stimulate motor skills. Our sheltered garden is available every day for outdoor play, cycling, running and sandpit fun. We keep you updated on your child’s experiences through the SKSG app so you can share in their day. We believe personal attention is most important and encourage every child to develop into the best they can be: themselves!
