SKSG Athletica

Welcome to SKSG Athletica, the sports after-school care in Zuidhorn! We provide care for up to 24 children aged 7 to 13 in the boardroom of VV Zuidhorn at the Joh. Smit park. Our mission is to let every child discover which sports they truly enjoy. Under the guidance of our specialised sports staff, fun in sport always comes first. Every day we offer varied and challenging activities, both on and around the sports park. Activities include climbing, live ping-pong, judo, yoga, rugby, unihockey, BMX and even kickboxing. Through our JUMP-IN ladder, children are introduced to new sports in a playful way every month. Besides sports, we also work with themes such as Science & Technology, Nature & Sustainability, Art & Culture and Cooking & Nutrition, ensuring there is something suitable for every child. Children attending De Borgh, De Brug, De Windroos or Het Anker are picked up after school and brought to the after-school care. Children from other schools are also welcome, but need to make their own way to the location. We are open during school weeks on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On Wednesday and Friday and during inset days and holidays we are closed; care is then provided at SKSG Noordster. Each child has their own mentor who follows their development and is the fixed point of contact for parents. We value continuity and a familiar environment. Parents receive a monthly digital newsletter via our parent portal Jaamo with the current activity programme.
