Welcome to Skippybol Children's Centre, located at a unique spot among monumental buildings at 11A Kennemerstraatweg in the heart of Alkmaar. Our daycare centre is part of Rollebol Childcare Centres and provides care for children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and secure environment. At Skippybol, your child takes centre stage. We offer a warm and familiar place where children can be themselves and discover and develop at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff form a permanent team that ensures continuity, safety and positive stimulation. In the baby groups we work with predictable and calm rhythms, while in the toddler groups there is room for independence and making choices. We believe children learn best through play and experience. Our daycare is housed in a modern building integrated into classic town houses, with a beautiful city garden and a child-friendly inner courtyard. The indoor spaces are bright and spacious, with different corners that invite play and discovery. Each group has its own sleeping area and its own kitchen, so we can provide meals that meet your child's needs. We offer a warm meal daily for children who use extended care. We work with themes that connect to the world of experience of young children. Sports and games are daily recurring elements, as we consider movement important for development. In addition, we offer pre-school education (VVE) according to a recognised programme. In a playful way, we work on language development, motor skills and social skills. We read aloud, sing songs and use creative materials to stimulate imagination. At Skippybol, we believe good communication with parents is essential. We use a parent app in which we report daily on your child's experiences with photos and personal messages. There is also room for verbal handovers and evaluation interviews. Before placement, we schedule settling-in sessions so your child can quietly get used to the new environment and the pedagogical staff.
