Sport BSO 't Honk

Sport BSO 't Honk is located right next to the sports fields of korfball club DOC and athletics club Tempo on Voormeulenweg in Bussum. We are part of the Stichting Kinderopvang Bussum-Naarden/Muiden-Muiderberg (SKBNM) and provide after-school care for up to 64 children aged 7 to 13, divided into two horizontal groups. Our ‘honk’ is the cosy sports canteen that we have completely adapted to our needs: a dining corner, an activity corner and a games corner with a table-tennis table, foosball table and dartboard. The space is safe and easy to supervise, so children feel at home quickly. Outside there is a fenced football pitch, an athletics track, a hard court and a large grass field. The fencing reassures both parents and children: they can run, cycle and play freely and safely. After school the afternoon starts with a shared moment; afterwards children decide for themselves whether they join the sports and games activities or prefer something quieter. One week we organise sports activities in which everyone takes part, the next week children choose for themselves. This creates a pleasant balance between challenge and relaxation. We offer clinics in boxing, fencing and archery, but it is also possible to build with Lego, Knexx or Kapla, saw your own pinball machine out of wood or enjoy a game of darts. During school holidays and study days we add extras to the programme. With our own minibuses we go on trips to Oud Valkeveen, the large playground at Heidezicht or the ice rink in Bussum. Sometimes we take a walk with the forester. These holiday activities are included in the regular care fee; parents do not pay anything extra. We are open Monday to Friday from the end of the school day until 18.30. During holidays and on study days we already start at 8.00. We are only closed on official public holidays, the SKBNM study day and the Friday after Ascension Day. Through the Parent Portal we keep parents informed of the weekly activity programme, share photos and messages can be sent directly to the pedagogical staff. Our team of qualified pedagogical staff is ready every day to give children a sporty, safe and enjoyable afternoon. We believe in the power of movement, play and discovery.
