Sjakie in de Chocoladefabriek

Welcome to BSO Sjakie in de Chocoladefabriek, located at Marie van Eijsden-Vinkstraat 430 in Rotterdam's Prinsenland district. As part of gro-up, we provide after-school care where children can truly be themselves after their school day ends. Our location features spacious, thematically designed areas and play zones specifically tailored to the world of children aged 4 to 9. Freedom is central to our approach. Children choose their own activities: playing with friends, working creatively on their own, or joining one of our organized activities. We have a fantasy room where children can dance, perform a play, or build a secret hut. In the creative corner, children unleash their inner artist and create the most wonderful artworks. There's also a homely living room area where children can simply play or relax. We work with age groups so that activities and atmosphere perfectly match each child's development. Younger children start on the ground floor, and from age 6 they move to the intermediate and upper floors with more challenging toys and activities. When children turn 9, they transition to our Sjakie in Zjaak location. Our three pillars are playing, exploring, and doing things together. We regularly organize new activities that help children discover their talents. Children are also given space to contribute their own ideas, which we implement together. We love going outside to the field or to the Pietje Bell natural playground. Each child has a dedicated pedagogical staff member as their mentor, and parents are invited at least once a year for a development discussion. Feel free to come by and experience the atmosphere!
