Welcome to Sinne daycare and playgroup Johan Willem Friso, located at Carel Fabritiusstraat 21 in the heart of Leeuwarden. We are part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Johan Willem Friso, where childcare, playgroup and primary education seamlessly come together. From 10 weeks to 4 years old, we offer a safe, warm place where your child can develop optimally. Our pedagogical vision aims to create an uninterrupted developmental line. We work from one shared mission: giving children a sense of home, providing space to grow and creating opportunities for social contact. Together with parents, we form a close-knit team. We build on your knowledge about your child and our professional expertise. This way, we tailor to what your child needs. Playing, discovering and learning happens in our carefully designed spaces. We offer fantasy play, imitation play, language play, expression play (music, dance, rhythm, drama and creative) and gross motor movement play. There is also plenty of room for free play. We follow each child's development process with the child tracking system KIJK. This seamlessly connects to the school system DORR, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school. We value personal contact highly. Before starting, we have an introductory conversation together. During drop-off and pick-up moments, there is room for transfer. After about three months, we schedule a settling-in conversation. Twice a year, a development conversation follows and we conclude with a final conversation towards group 1. We also organize parent evenings in February and June. Our location accommodates up to 40 children. We work with horizontal groups, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers have separate spaces. Each child receives care and attention appropriate to their age. We provide diapers, wipes, bottle feeding and healthy meals. For allergies or special dietary needs, we are happy to accommodate.
