Welcome to Second Home childcare – De Architect, located at G.T. Rietveldstraat 170D in Almere. Our intimate after-school-care team welcomes up to 11 children aged 4 to 12, focusing on calm, structure and plenty of playful fun after the school day. After a busy day at school it is time to unwind and choose freely. Children decide for themselves whether they want to play outside, do sports, craft, read, play games or simply chat with friends. We organise sports and cultural activities such as football tournaments, kick-boxing lessons, cooking club, creative workshops, computer activities and painting. There is always something enjoyable for every child. Our qualified staff pick the children up safely from nearby primary schools; some schools are within walking distance, others are collected with our safe transport. During holidays and study days we are open from 07:00 to 19:00, giving parents maximum flexibility. We also guide children with their homework, always in consultation with parents. Under supervision, children can use a computer with educational games. Our approach is transparent and personal: we welcome ideas from parents and actively involve them in their child’s development.
