Welcome to Partou Schatkist! Our after-school care is located at Johan Wagenaarlaan 14 in Leiden’s Boshuizen district. We welcome children aged 4 to 13 and divide them into two age groups: the Treasure Diggers (4-7 years) and the Treasure Seekers (7-13 years). As soon as school ends, our qualified staff pick the children up from Apolloschool in Leiden and from De Vink and ’t Kompas in Voorschoten. Each child wears a bright vest so they are easily recognisable on the way. Back at the BSO they can choose from a wide range of activities: endless crafting supplies, cooking and baking in our cheerful kitchen, or sports on the large field just around the corner. Darts, table football, billiards, Lego or Kapla construction, creating plays – nothing is compulsory, everything is possible. Our fixed daily routine offers both calm and structure. Around 3 p.m. we all head outside to run, climb and explore the garden. Afterwards the children decide whether to join a workshop, play a game or continue being creative. At 5 p.m. we take another quick outdoor round before parents come to collect their adventurer. Throughout the afternoon we send parents a photo or short update via the Partou app. Our pedagogy is built on six pillars that help children grow in self-confidence and resilience through play. We believe every child deserves to feel safe and seen, so they can be themselves and discover the world. That is why only certified pedagogical professionals work here, trained to challenge and guide children in just the right way. In short, every afternoon at Partou Schatkist is a new adventure.
