Schatduikers (PG)

Welcome to Schatduikers, our toddler group located at Kroonjuweel 9 in Oost-Souburg. We provide professional childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe, stimulating environment. Located on the edge of Oost-Souburg, near Middelburg, our Schatduikers location is situated in the Broad School Het Kroonjuweel, serving as an excellent preparation for primary school. Upon arrival, we greet both parent and child and discuss any special circumstances important for the day's care. We believe it's important that you take time to make the transition from home to the toddler group as pleasant as possible for your child. Every child experiences this differently. Our approach focuses on learning through play. We offer a predictable daily structure with activities such as circle time, playing, diaper changes, tidying up, eating, and outdoor play. We use daily rhythm cards with images to help children understand their day. We sing together, read aloud, and provide various play areas where children can discover and learn. We work with preschool education (VE) and have a VE coach on our team. Students from grade 8 of primary schools 't Mozaïek and Het Kompas read to the children on Wednesdays and Fridays during the drop-off moment. On Fridays, we play outside with the kindergarten class from 't Mozaïek. All this contributes to a smooth transition to primary school. We are sensitive to the signals children give and try to understand these well and respond appropriately. After approximately three months, an evaluation meeting with the parent takes place to discuss how the child, parent, and childcare location have experienced the initial period.
