SamSam Westerpark is located in the heart of the Cultural Village Westergas in Amsterdam-West. This unique location allows us to provide childcare for children aged 0-4 in an inspiring environment where history and nature come together. In our daycare, we work with horizontal groups, distinguishing between baby groups (10 weeks - 18 months), toddler groups (18 months - 3 years) and preschool groups (3+ years). For our babies, we create a calm environment focused on sensorimotor activities. We believe babies discover the world through their senses - by tasting, looking, listening, smelling and feeling. Therefore, we provide rich stimuli with different textures, sounds and materials. Our baby group accommodates up to 12 children with 3 pedagogical staff members. For toddlers and preschoolers, we have a special toddler building equipped with various corners and rooms. These include a play kitchen, construction corner, green corner, number/letter corner, art studio and a light and dark room. These spaces are carefully designed to challenge children appropriately for their age and development. We consciously work with small groups so that each child receives the attention they deserve. Our outdoor play area borders directly on Westerpark. With trees, bark, sand, grass and natural materials, children can play and explore freely. We regularly take children to events in the area such as Cinekid, the ice rink and Circus Zanzara. We not only bring nature inside from outdoors, but also bring it indoors. This way, children learn to respect nature in a playful manner. We are proud of our small-scale approach with a maximum of 24 childcare places. This creates a homely atmosphere where every child quickly feels at home. Our location is open Monday to Friday from 7:45 to 18:15, 52 weeks per year.
