Welcome to SamSam KDV Stadshart, located at Pieter Lastmanweg 7 in the heart of Amstelveen. We provide international childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, safe and stimulating environment. Our location is unique because of its bilingual approach: both Dutch and English are spoken in the groups, making children from all over the world feel at home. At SamSam, we believe every child is full of potential and actively shapes their own development. That’s why we give them all the space they need to grow and explore. We work with vertical groups, where babies and toddlers play and learn together. This stimulates social development and gives children the opportunity to learn from each other. Our pedagogical professionals offer a rich range of activities tailored to the child’s age and interests. For the youngest children, the focus is on sensory experiences and motor development. Toddlers receive creative challenges, such as painting with paint, clay, cutting and pasting, and discover the world through thematic play. We work with natural and open-ended materials that stimulate imagination, such as wooden discs, pebbles, seeds and textiles. Our location features a large, green rooftop garden where children can go outside every day. Here you’ll find a vegetable garden, sandbox, climbing equipment and picnic tables. We pay a lot of attention to nature experience: children learn to care for plants, discover insects and animals, and read books about the world around them. We regularly take trips to the library and the Cobra Museum. SamSam Stadshart is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30, 52 weeks a year. We work closely with parents and are open to anyone looking for involved, international childcare in Amstelveen.
