SamSam BSO Marcanti 498

SamSam BSO Marcanti 498 is located in vibrant Amsterdam-West, at Marcantilaan 498. Our location provides professional after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12 years. We are a small-scale BSO, allowing us to give each child personal attention and provide a familiar environment. After school, we pick up children from De Vrije School West and De Rijk Kramer (Nassaukade location). Our pedagogical staff are ready at the school playground and safely guide the children to our location. The BSO is open Monday through Friday from 15:00 to 18:15, 52 weeks per year. We are closed on official holidays, during one study day per year, and on December 24 and 31 we close at 17:00. At SamSam BSO Marcanti 498, our atelier is a large workshop where children are never bored. We encourage children to use all their senses: they make music, cook, build and hammer. We regularly go out into the neighborhood to explore all the parks in the area. Children have space to withdraw and relax, but also to build and create with old materials and real tools. We encourage children to color outside the lines, because growing up also means exploring boundaries and making discoveries. Our pedagogical approach is based on respect for the uniqueness of each child. We stimulate the development of independence and self-confidence. Nature, culture, creativity and sustainability are central to our daily activities. We primarily work with natural play and development materials. Our fixed groups and familiar faces contribute to a stable and safe environment, just like fixed spaces and a consistent daily routine. During school holidays and school weeks, we work closely with our other BSO location at Marcantilaan 496. This allows us to offer even more age-appropriate activities. On Wednesdays and Fridays, we combine both groups for extra fun and exchange. When there is no availability at Marcantilaan 496, we do our best to offer a place at Marcantilaan 498.
