Kinderdagverblijf Eigenwijz

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kinderdagverblijf Eigenwijz at Zwolseweg 2 in Den Velde. Our team collects the children every school day from Samenlevingsschool De Ravelijn, located on the same premises. Our pedagogical staff wait at the school gate in vests bearing our logo; short distances we walk together on foot, longer ones we cover by car. Everything we do revolves around fun, relaxation and new discoveries after a long school day. We start with a joint circle moment: chatting about the day, singing a song and checking what each child feels like doing. Afterwards the children choose whether to join our activity programme or to play freely. During holidays we run a challenging activity schedule; recently we visited Morskieft playground and during the Christmas break we went swimming. Our spacious group room offers plenty of room for both rest and movement. There is a corner for homework, a creative table for crafts, a kitchen for cooking and baking, and a large outdoor play area for football, tag or simply running around. When parents pick up a little later, children can still have dinner: we serve a warm meal that we prepare together. We work in horizontal groups so that activities are well matched to the age and interests of the children. Our regular staff know every child and understand exactly what it needs to feel at home. Communication with parents is personal at drop-off and pick-up; we do not use an app or digital platform. In short, at BSO Eigenwijz in Den Velde school children find a familiar place where they can relax, meet friends and share adventures together. We are here for every child aged 4 to 13, Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 18:30.
