Saffier

Welcome to Peuteropvang Saffier, located at Jaffahof 75 in the heart of Kralingen, Rotterdam. We are part of gro-up childcare and provide a safe, opportunity-rich environment where toddlers aged 2 to 4 can develop through play. Together with parents, we aim to discover and nurture each child’s talents. At Saffier we follow the Preschool Education programme (VE) ‘Uk en Puk’. Using the doll Puk and varied themes, children explore the world around them. In a playful way they expand their vocabulary and develop socially and emotionally. We believe it is important that children attend every day so they can complete all parts of the VE programme and develop to their full potential. In addition to our daily activities we take part in fun events such as the Toddler Four-Day Walk, Children’s Book Week and National Reading Days. We also organise trips to the petting farm and go on autumn walks in the neighbourhood. This gives the children plenty of new experiences and helps them discover the world beyond childcare. Our location accommodates up to 16 toddlers and works with horizontal groups. The pedagogical staff are led by location manager Rachél Bekker. We value parental involvement and therefore work closely with parents. We organise an annual get-together for parents and children to strengthen mutual bonds. Parents themselves can also contribute to our programme, for example by talking about their hobby or profession. Feel free to drop by to experience the atmosphere.
