Ruitersport BSO De Vrijbuiters

Welcome to BSO De Vrijbuiters, part of Manege Voorst, located at Oude Zutphenseweg 3A in the beautiful recreational area of Bussloo, Klarenbeek. Children aged 4 to 12 are invited to play, explore and embark on adventures after school. Our setting combines the authentic atmosphere of a real riding school with all the space and facilities an after-school care centre needs. We collect children on foot or with our own bicycle buses from the primary schools in the area, ensuring they arrive safely and relaxed. Once at the stables, they can choose from a wide range of activities: from arts and crafts in our creative corner to sporty challenges on the grounds, and from caring for our horses and ponies to exciting scavenger hunts through the woods. Love for animals and respect for nature are central; children not only learn to ride, but also how to interact responsibly with animals and the environment. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with plenty of personal attention. We work in small, mixed-age groups, so older children learn to look after younger ones and everyone feels at home quickly. In good weather, most of the time is spent outdoors; we have a large outdoor playground, a spacious paddock and direct access to the walking and riding trails around Bussloo. In bad weather, there is a cosy indoor area with tables for crafts, games and quiet corners for reading or relaxing. During school holidays we organise extra excursions, such as day trips to the beach, visits to petting zoos or sports and activity days at the stables itself. There is also room for children who are members of a local sports club: from a certain age, and in consultation with our pedagogical staff, they can attend their training during after-school care. In short, at BSO De Vrijbuiters children find a safe, challenging and above all very sociable place to be after school. We grow together, learn from each other and experience new adventures every day – always with a bit of equestrian sport in our hearts.
