Welcome to ROOTS Buitenavonturen BSO, located at Kerkplein 28 in the heart of Abcoude. As part of ROOTS Buitenavonturen, we have been providing after-school care for over six years, focusing on adventure, nature, and personal development. We specialize in (educational) outdoor and survival activities for children aged 4 to 12. Our outdoor after-school care is situated in our own adventure forest, which has been set up together with the children. In this natural playground, children learn survival skills such as fire-making, shelter-building, and navigation, while playfully discovering the importance of cooperation, respect, and perseverance. Our team of passionate outdoor instructors guides the children with enthusiasm and years of experience in working with children. At ROOTS, we believe in the power of nature for children's well-being. We not only organize after-school care but also summer camps, birthday parties, and outdoor lessons for primary schools. Our mission is simple: to encourage as many children as possible to go outside, connect with nature, and contribute to biodiversity through education and activities. Our location accommodates up to 42 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since September 1, 2023 (LRK number 139657563). We work with a mixed group structure where children of different ages play and learn together. The most important thing is that children have fun while experiencing adventures and discovering new skills in the natural environment of Abcoude.
