Welcome to daycare Roald Dahl, located at Meetketting 1 in Zwaag. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland (SKWF) and have been providing trusted childcare for children aged 0 to 4 for over 40 years. Our location is warmly designed with small-scale groups where peace, security and development are central. We work with the development-oriented program Startblokken. The themes connect with the world of experience of young children and offer space for play, discovery and growth. Our pedagogical staff closely follow each child's development and tailor activities to what the child needs. We offer daily reading moments, stimulate language development through interaction and singing, and provide ample room for creative expression with clay, paint and crafts. For the youngest ones we have quiet sleeping areas with cribs and blackout curtains. For toddlers and preschoolers there is a safe play area with soft floors, reading corners and a garden where they can play outside to their heart's content. We offer outdoor play opportunities in a natural environment with sand, water and greenery. We work closely with primary school Roald Dahl, allowing children to become familiar with the school environment at an early age. Students from the school regularly come to read to our children. We offer flexible childcare options, including half days. Parents can easily report attendance or send messages via our parent app. We maintain a clear nutrition policy: we provide healthy snacks, fruit and bread meals. For babies and toddlers we provide bottle feeding and fresh fruit. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. We work with fixed groups and familiar faces, so children feel safe and secure. Our location is equipped with secure access and we follow the VVE program (Early Childhood Education) to optimally prepare children for primary school.
