Pure-Kids

Welcome to Pure-Kids after-school care (BSO) at Reest 2 in Assen. Since 4 September 2017 we have provided out-of-school care for up to 48 children aged 4 to 12. Our guiding principle is: “Every child is unique in his or her purity”. We believe children flourish best in a calm, safe environment where personal attention is paramount. Our groups are intentionally mixed: regular children play and learn alongside children who need extra support because of behavioural issues, giftedness, high sensitivity, ADHD or autism spectrum disorders. By bringing these children together, everyone learns to deal with differences and develops social skills that will benefit them for life. We keep our groups small so that every child receives the attention he or she deserves. The day starts between 2 pm and 3 pm when we pick the children up from school or they arrive on their own. From 2.15 pm a healthy snack and drinks are served. After that each child chooses what to do: arts and crafts in our studio, outdoor play, board games, helping to cook, or simply relaxing. Activities are offered daily, but participation is never compulsory. This freedom creates calm and makes children feel safe. On Wednesdays, Fridays and during holiday days we enjoy lunch together. During school holidays we regularly organise excursions: a trip to the forest, a visit to the zoo or another fun activity. Parents can pick up their children until 6.30 pm; older children may also go home independently. Our location at Reest 2 is easily accessible and offers plenty of space to play, explore and grow.
