Buitenschoolse opvang Spoorbuurt is located within the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Spoorbuurt at Nieuweweg 17 in Anna Paulowna. We provide professional before- and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Operating from a single site together with primary school De Verwachting and other IKC partners, we offer children a familiar environment from toddler age right through to the end of primary school. Inside the IKC building we run three age-based BSO groups. Children are placed according to age so that activities and guidance match their developmental stage. The youngest BSO group (roughly 4-7 years) has a maximum of twenty children cared for by two qualified pedagogical staff; the older group (7-12 years) has up to twenty-four children, likewise supported by two permanent professionals. This horizontal grouping allows us to respond specifically to the needs of each age category. Our opening hours fit seamlessly with the school timetable. On school days the BSO is open from 07:15 for before-school care and after school until 18:15. During school holidays and study days we provide full-day care, tailoring the programme to the children’s wishes and the facilities available within the IKC. We make full use of the centre’s modern amenities, including the gym, learning plaza and outdoor playground. Children receive a healthy meal or snack free from unnecessary additives. We believe it is important that children can relax after school: first enjoying some food and drink in a calm atmosphere, then choosing free play or taking part in activities. All our pedagogical staff hold relevant diplomas and attend regular training to maintain the high quality of our care. Together we create a safe, stimulating place where children feel at home.
