Peuteropvang Boontjes in de dop

Peuteropvang Boontjes in de dop is a warm, home-from-home setting for children aged 2–4, located at Kapelweg 15 in Ter Apel. We are part of Stichting Tamariki and base our work on a clear pedagogical vision in which learning through play is central. Our fixed group, called ‘Boontjes in de dop’, welcomes up to 16 children per session and is guided by the same qualified pedagogical staff every day. Each morning begins with a joint circle time, followed by a varied programme of crafts, story time, singing and discovery in the themed corner. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme ‘PeuterPlusPlan’: at least five themes each year that connect with the toddler’s world. Themes such as ‘Cuddly Toys’, ‘Autumn’ or ‘My Body’ introduce language, early maths, motor skills and social-emotional development in a playful way. Outside, children enjoy a safe, challenging garden every day. Sand, water, ride-on toys and natural materials invite movement and exploration. In fine weather children can nap outdoors in our shaded rest area. Fruit, drinks and nappies are included in the fee. We accommodate allergies and dietary requirements. Parents receive a weekly newsletter with information about the current theme, suggested books and songs for home. Twice a year we schedule a parent meeting to discuss your child’s development using observations recorded in PeuterPlusPlan. Opening hours: Monday and Thursday 08:30–14:30, Tuesday and Wednesday 08:30–12:30. Children with an Early Childhood Education indication may attend up to four sessions. Together with primary school Bonifatius we provide a seamless developmental pathway so the transition to Group 1 is smooth.
