Prokino De Veenkabouter KDV/POV

Welcome to Prokino De Veenkabouter at Trompstraat 1 in Hoogeveen. We are a daycare centre (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 and part of Stichting Prokino Kinderopvang, a collaborative network operating at 135 locations across the Netherlands to support the development of children and young people. Warm, professional care is at the heart of everything we do. Our location welcomes up to 60 children and features stimulating group rooms and a large, secure garden designed especially for the youngest children. In the garden, children can play, explore and move around in a natural setting. We also have an indoor play corridor with a sandpit and ball pit, creating a true play paradise where children feel both safe and challenged. We follow a central pedagogical policy fully aligned with children’s development. Our qualified pedagogical staff understand the various developmental stages of children. They monitor and stimulate each child’s progress individually, build on what the child can already do and provide the right professional guidance. We offer pre-school education (VVE) to prepare children for primary school in a playful way. For the very youngest we provide nappies, baby wipes and bottle feeding. Separate sleeping rooms ensure rest and routine. We also accommodate allergies and special dietary needs. Half-day care is available, giving parents the flexibility to choose what suits their family best. At De Veenkabouter we believe it is important that children feel safe and secure. We provide an emotionally safe environment in which children are given space to develop, adopt norms and values and learn independence.
