Kinderwoud 't Kwetternest

Kinderwoud ’t Kwetternest is located in community centre De Utwyk, right in the Drachten-Zuid district. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 who are playfully prepared for primary school. Our bright, spacious group room opens directly onto a safe outdoor area with play equipment, a large sandpit and plenty of room to cycle and run around. We follow Kinderwoud’s pillars: learning through play, movement, music and healthy food. Throughout the year we organise activities that match toddlers’ world of experience. We use both our indoor and outdoor spaces to let children discover new things and spark their curiosity. Our qualified pedagogical staff carefully plan the activities so that every child can participate at his or her own level. Pre-school education (VE) is part of our daily programme. This broad developmental stimulation is offered to all toddlers in the group, including children who need extra support or are looking for more challenge. If your child has a VE indication, he or she can attend extra sessions and receive targeted guidance. Together we ensure the best possible start at primary school. Each morning starts at 08:30 and ends at 12:30. During these four hours the children are offered a healthy lunch and have plenty of opportunity to play, craft, sing and move outside.
