Popeye in de Sint-Petrusschool

Popeye in de Sint-Petrusschool is an after-school care (BSO) facility operated by Stichting BSO Popeye, located at Ouddiemerlaan 106 in Diemen. The location provides care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 13 who attend the Sint-Petrusschool. Care takes place within the school building itself, allowing children to walk directly to the BSO group after school. Registered since 2011 in the National Childcare Register under number 185719077 and supervised by the GGD, this location has been a trusted part of the Diemen community for years. Stichting BSO Popeye was founded in 1986 by local parents and remains a non-profit foundation with active parental involvement in governance. Our philosophy is that time after school is free time for children. We provide a safe base where children can relax, have fun, and be themselves. We guide children in play and offer activities where they can discover what they enjoy and are capable of. Through play, they learn to try new things, build friendships, and handle challenges. Fun and emotional safety are central: everyone is welcome to be who they are. Popeye in de Sint-Petrusschool works closely with the school. We use horizontal grouping: children are grouped by age, with younger children (4-7 years) and older children (8-13 years) in separate groups. This ensures age-appropriate activities and guidance.
