BSO Podium is a small-scale after-school care facility located in the monumental building of Catholic Primary School St. Aloysius at Kerkstraat 32 in the heart of Baarn. Our unique concept revolves around the large stage on the first floor of the school, where children can freely express themselves in imaginative play and creative expression. This stage is the beating heart of our location and offers endless possibilities for drama, presentations, and role-playing. Our pedagogical approach is based on the 'Pedagogical Heart' of Kind&co ludens. This means we work from four core values: children should feel comfortable and have fun, they are given trust and space to grow and discover, we provide a rich and inspiring environment, and together we form a close-knit community. This vision translates into concrete activities such as crafting, sports in the gymnasium, coloring, relaxing in quiet corners, and of course performing on our stage. Our location features a challenging outdoor playground with modern play equipment where children can romp around. During school holidays, we work with alternating theme weeks that connect with the children's world of experience. We are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM during holidays and provide care for children from both St. Aloysius and Queen Wilhelmina School (KWS). This collaboration with two primary schools in the immediate vicinity makes us a central meeting place for children from the neighborhood.
