Welcome to KDV PleSant in Ridderkerk, a homely branch of Kinderopvang Mundo where children aged 0 to 4 learn and grow through play. As soon as you step inside you enter our central hall, the beating heart of our daycare. All groups gather here for joint activities, songs and story time. Four rooms open onto this hall: two horizontal baby groups for our youngest and two vertical toddler groups where children up to four years meet and learn from one another. This layout offers peace to babies and gives toddlers space to explore. Our large, green garden is an adventure in itself. There is plenty of room to run, discover and play with natural materials. We even nap outside in special outdoor sleeping cabins; fresh air and the rustle of leaves make the afternoon rest extra soothing. We go outside every single day, because outdoor play is not an extra—it is part of our daily rhythm. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme (VVE) that stimulates language, numeracy and social skills in a playful way. Our qualified pedagogical staff track each child’s development closely and tailor activities accordingly. Think singing, dancing, crafting with natural materials and short excursions in the neighbourhood. We cook with fresh ingredients and let children experience healthy food from an early age. Parents stay connected through our Mundo app, receiving updates on meals, naps and those magical first steps. We believe in strong parent partnership and invite families to join parent activities. Together we create a safe, familiar place where your child can simply be themselves and discover the world one step at a time.
