Welcome to Plateau daycare De Vuurvogel, located at Obrechtlaan 3 in Assen. As part of Stichting Plateau Integrale Kindcentra, we provide daycare for up to 31 children aged 0 to 4 years. We have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2018 under number 234330958. Our qualified staff follow the Plateau vision: children are given space to discover the world. We offer a safe, familiar environment in which every child can develop at his or her own pace. For the youngest ones we provide full care: diapers, wipes, formula and warm meals are included. We also accommodate allergies and special dietary needs. The daily schedule is designed to provide structure and calm. We work with horizontal age groups so that activities perfectly match your child’s developmental stage. Babies sleep in separate bedrooms; older children may – weather permitting – sleep outdoors in our secure garden. The spacious garden with natural play equipment invites outdoor play and exploration. Language and vocabulary development are key priorities. We use the Logo 3000 method: with wall charts, talking cards, songs and games we expand children’s vocabulary in a playful way. In addition, we offer Early Childhood Education (VVE) aligned with the continuous line from daycare to groups 1-2 of primary school. Music, dance and expression are covered through the Culture Menu project; children are introduced to music, dance, theatre and visual arts in our own studios. We regularly organise small excursions in the immediate area. Parents are kept informed via the Social Schools app. We share photos, reports and practical information there. There is also a monthly Vuurvogel newsletter with an overview of activities and developments. We value parental involvement: you are welcome to help with celebrations or outings. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30 – 18:00; extended care from 07:00 – 18:30 is available on request. Half-days are negotiable.
