We are PIT Christian Child Centre De Notenbalk, located at Bazuinstraat 26 in Zwijndrecht. As part of PIT Childcare & Education, we provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13. Our BSO is open 52 weeks a year: during school weeks from the end of the school day until 6:30 PM, and during school holidays from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. We operate as one team with one pedagogical vision and one continuous developmental line. This means our childcare staff and teachers work closely together to optimally support each child's development. Our mission is 'No one is like you!' Every child has the right to develop and receives the space to be themselves and discover their talents. Our BSO offers a wide range of activities tailored to the children's interests and developmental stages. We regularly go on excursions, work in our nature garden, create crafts, and engage in sports in our gym and outdoor area. We sing songs, tell stories, and focus on creative and cultural education. Our location features a large garden with playground equipment where children can play to their heart's content. As a Christian child centre, we work from a Christian identity. We start the day with a prayer or song, share Bible stories, and celebrate Christian holidays. We are open to all children and parents, regardless of their background. Together with parents, we form a partnership in the upbringing and development of the child. Communication takes place via the Konnect app, keeping parents informed of their child's experiences.
