Pino Peuteropvang

Welcome to Peuteropvang Pino, located at Esmarkelaan 7 in Enschede. We are a small-scale toddler care centre operated by Humankind, offering places for up to 16 children per session. Our homely building provides bright, spacious rooms that literally give children room to be themselves. Our stable, enthusiastic team works from the belief that every child is unique and is free to develop at his or her own pace. At Pino we believe that being outdoors is just as important as being inside. That is why we go outside every day; playing in our own garden or exploring the adjacent forest. During these outdoor moments toddlers learn about nature through play, practise their gross motor skills and share adventures together. We regularly organise outings and excursions that fit the weekly theme, gradually expanding the child’s world. Our programme focuses on pre-school education (VE) and prepares toddlers for primary school. We use an accredited VE method that stimulates language, numeracy, social-emotional development and motor skills. The pedagogical staff set up the room with challenging themed corners and plenty of learning materials. Through stories, songs and play, toddlers practise new words and learn to play together. We actively involve parents in the theme through parent evenings and take-home materials, so that home and childcare reinforce each other. Peuteropvang Pino works with a vertical group: children aged 2 to 4 are together. This setup allows younger toddlers to learn from older children, while the older toddlers develop caring behaviour and social skills. We are open Monday to Friday from 08:15 to 13:15 and from 14:00 to 17:00.
